On this fascinating adventure we will visit six different geographic zones, and get to fully appreciate Mongolia’s natural beauty, diversity, and culture. The trip begins in Khovsgol National Park, on the northern edge of the country bordering Russia’s Siberia. Lake Khovsgol, spectacularly situated at 1624m (5326ft), is a huge crystal clear freshwater lake 134 km long and 39 km wide. It is one of the deepest lakes in Central Asia and is teeming with fish. From there we drive south visiting more beautiful lakes, taiga forests and mountain ranges, finally reaching the famous Gobi desert, land of the ancient dinosaurs.
