Detailed Itinerary

New Delhi

‘India’s Capital’ – An interesting mix of fastpaced modernization and carefully preserved antiquity. Qutab Minar, Red Fort, Humayun’s Tomb, etc. stand testimony to an illustrious past and today, it is a maze of crowded streets and intensely colourful bazaars.

1-4

Jaipur

‘The Pink City’ – Its ancient forts and palaces which create a dramatic picture of a bygone era provide a stunning backdrop to this Magical City carved out of the dessert, which still blushes pink even after 275 years.

4-7

Pushkar

‘Religious Town’ – This usually quiet and tranquil scenic place, which is built around a lake, is a haven for travellers searching for respite. However, it is best known for the annual camel/cattle fair that turns the haven into a riot of colour!

7-8

Ranthambhor

‘National Park’ – This popular Tiger Reserve and the region around is thick with remnants of its past history amidst lush rolling hills. If you never had a date with a tiger, you will have one here!

8-10

Agra

‘Taj Mahal’ – This 300 year old immortal epitome of love, and one of the ‘Seven Wonders’ of the world, stands here within the city which was the Flower of the Mughal empire-in-ascendance. Agra is embellished with the best of the dynasty’s architectural legacy.

10-12

Khajuraho

‘World Heritage Site’ – It is among the prominent destinations on the world map. Built in the 10th century, its temples display different facets of life, including the sensual. The erotic carvings on some panels have given rise to much speculation since Khajuraho’s re-discovery by the British in 1838.

12-13

Varanasi

‘The City That Illuminates’ – One of the world’s most ancient cities, is only better experienced than described. Sunrise while boating on the Holy Ganges River, crowded temples and its labyrinth of streets are the main attractions of this religious capital of Hinduism. Nearby lies the town of Sarnath, where Lord Buddha preached his first Sermon.
