Length: 16 days from New Delhi.

This trek is one of the most varied and beautiful treks in the world. It ventures high into the Himalayas crossing two 15,000+ ft passes as it circles from the edges of the Indus Valley, down into parts of Zanskar, through narrow valleys and vast expanses, along trails marked by elaborate chortens and mani walls, rewarded by views of jagged snow-capped peaks, and ending at the famous Hemis Monastery. Also included is time in Delhi and Leh.

Land Cost: $685

Begins in Leh on day 14 of Markha Valley trek.

Length: 3-night/4-day extension to Markha Valley trips.

Cut off from travellers for decades, this incredible valley, abutting the towering eastern Karakoram range and site of the Siachen Glacier, is now open for exploration. We offer a 3-day jeep-safari over the highest road in the world (18,380ft) as an extension to our Ladakh trips.

  • Excellent trip! It ran very smoothly and I enjoyed the staff who worked hard to accommodate various interests, walking speeds etc. I was very impressed with what our cook could whip up in remote locations and loved the fact that there was a de-emphasis on fried foods.

I’ve said it before and I’ll say it again, I’ve been on treks all over the world with different companies, and this is my 11th trek in Nepal, and the C. H. E. organization and staff are by far the best I’ve ever come across!
